Madonna is back doing her best.

Causing a commotion that is.

The music icon is once again hogging headlines posing almost naked for the latest issue of V magazine.

No, the furor is not about her baring at 63.

Many agree she still looks fantastic.

The problem though is, many believe she and her Steven Klein took art too far allegedly recreating the death bed scene of Marilyn Monroe.

Some of the comments:

“This is just too much…”

“Too morbid for my taste…”

“Gross and inappropriate…”

“Just yuck…”

“Must be sad to still need so much attention.”

“Not cool.”

There are some who defended the actress-singer.

“It’s homage my dear…”

“Pity those who don’t understand high culture”

“A goddess forever”

The focus of attention is a photo of Madonna laying face down on a mattress exposing her bottom.

According to Klein, the spread was inspired by Bert Stern’s “The Last Sitting,” the final photoshoot of Monroe before her untimely death at 36.

In the accompanying article, Madonna spoke about cancel culture and the pandemic.

“The way people think about the pandemic, for instance, that the vaccination is the only answer or the polarization of thinking you’re either on this side or the other.

“There’s no debate, there’s no discussion. That’s something I want to disturb. I want to disturb the fact that we’re not encouraged to discuss it. I believe that our job (as artists) is to disturb the status quo.

“The censoring that’s going on in the world right now, that’s pretty frightening. No one’s allowed to speak their mind right now. No one’s allowed to say what they really think about things for fear of being canceled, cancel culture.

“In cancel culture, disturbing the peace is probably an act of treason.”

What do you think?
