Talented and brimming with potential, Jehramae Trangia expects big and exciting new things when it comes to her music career.

The 18-year-old singer, who won the singing tilt Born To Be A Star back in May, recently released her debut singles this year. That and a high-profile digital concert a few weeks ago (“Arrival”) has been enough to spur Jehramae to think that bigger things are coming for her this 2022.

Interviewed by Bulletin Entertainment, Jehramae said, “What excites me the most about my music career is getting to meet a lot of talented artists from all over the country, and it’s such an honor to be able to share my experiences with them while also allowing people to hear my music and craft.”

Jehramae’s got the coming year planned. “For the year 2022 i am planning to do workshops not only in singing and dancing but also in acting kasi one of my bucket lists is to try acting and hopefully it will happen soon.”

Jehramae made quite an impression on the entertainment media. Some even said that she could follow in the steps of Sarah Geronimo, whose beginnings can be traced at the same singing competition. She blushed at the thought, and said that she’s got a long way to go, but that Sarah G’s inspiration is what keeps her going.

“Since I began singing, Miss Sarah Geronimo has been an inspiration to me. She became my role model in singing because she is such an icon. She can dance, she can act, she can host. I mean, is there anything she can’t do? She’s completely idol material and hopefully soon I could get to collaborate with her.”

The singer signed to Viva Records as a recording artist in early 2021 right after winning. Jehramae released two quick singles to announce her debut. The well received “Lumalapit” – a cover of a popular The Juans song – and her first original recording titled “Magparaya,” written by veteran composer Vehnee Saturno.

Jehramae is hoping that the stars align for her. “My wish is to have a break sa aking career. I wanna have my own album with my own songs kasi dream ko na din po talaga makapag-release ng album and in that album, will be the stories na naging part ng life ko.”

At the rate Jehramae is going, this just might happen.
