K-pop Radar, a “fandom data service” by music startup Space Oddity, released the lists of K-pop artists who posted the highest increases in the number of followers on Instagram and Twitter in 2021.
The Instagram and Twitter rankings are based on the period Jan. 1 to Dec. 15, 2021.

BTS and BLACKPINK dominated the list of the top 10 K-pop artists who garnered the highest increases in the number of followers on Instagram in 2021. All BTS members opened Instagram accounts on Dec. 6.
BTS’ V (https://www.instagram.com/thv) ranked No. 1 on the list of K-pop artists with the highest increase in Instagram followers in 2021 with 26 million as of Dec. 15. He has 30 million followers as of writing.
BLACKPINK’s Lisa (https://www.instagram.com/lalalalisa_m/) is in second place, gaining 25.4 million Instagram followers in 2021. Lisa currently has 71 million followers on Instagram.
BTS’ Jungkook (https://www.instagram.com/abcdefghi__lmnopqrstuvwxyz/) grabbed third place with 24.5 million followers on Instagram as of Dec. 15. He has 28.3 million followers as of writing.
BTS’ Jimin (https://www.instagram.com/j.m/) ranked fourth with 23.7 million Instagram followers. He currently has 26.6 million.
BTS’ Jin (https://www.instagram.com/jin/) bagged fifth place with 22.7 million followers. He currently has 25.2 million followers on Instagram.
BTS’ J-Hope (https://www.instagram.com/uarmyhope/) is in sixth place with 22.4 million Instagram followers. He has 25.2 million followers as of writing.
BTS’ RM (https://www.instagram.com/rkive/) is ranked seventh with 22.4 million followers. As of writing, he has 24.9 million followers.
BTS’ Suga (https://www.instagram.com/agustd/) grabbed eighth place with 22.3 million followers. He has 24.8 million followers to date.
BLACKPINK’s Jennie (https://www.instagram.com/jennierubyjane/) is in ninth place with 21.8 million followers gained in 2021. She currently has 60.1 million followers.
BTS’ official Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/bts.bighitofficial/) is ranked 10th with 21.4 million followers added in 2021. The account currently has 58.1 million followers.

K-pop Radar also released the list of K-pop artists who added the highest number of followers on Twitter in 2021.
