Rap’s biggest names will perform at the upcoming superbowl.

A new trailer revealed rap stars Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamarr and Dr. Dre are set to perform together on the Superbowl LVI stage this February.

Pepsi’s official trailer for the same was titled “The Call.”

The trailer, released January 20, featured aforementioned artists, getting rung on their mobile for the invite to perform on the first biggest American sporting event of 2022.

The Superbowl Halftime show has become a spectacle in itself over the past few years and is usually headlined by the marquee music acts. Past performers have included Phil Collins, The Who, The Black Eyed Peas with Usher and Slash, Maroon 5, Travis Scott & Big Boi, Bruno Mars & the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shania Twain with No Doubt and Sting, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, U2, Coldplay with Bruno Mars & Beyonce, Katy Perry with Missy Elliott & Lenny Kravitz, Jennifer Lopez with Shakira, J. Balvin and Bad Bunny to name some.

The most recent to perform was The Weeknd who performed last year’s Halftime show.

The performers for this year are a who’s who in the world of American rap music. All are Grammy Award winning acts and have platinum selling albums and hits to their credit.

The National Football League (NFL) is currently on its divisional playoff rounds and are down to its last eight teams.
