After winning his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard last month, actor-singer Johnny Depp is dropping hints about his relationship with Amber.
Depp penned two songs on the album, titled “18,” with Jeff Beck, the former Yardbirds guitarist. The tunes appeared to reveal how Depp may have been feeling during the grueling, weeks-long trial that exposed the couple’s troubled married life to the world.
On the record, Depp sang out the lyrics: “You’re sitting there like a dog with a seven-year itch,” and “If I had a dime, it wouldn’t reach your hand,”
The song is entitled “Sad Motherf—in’ Parade” which will be released on Friday, July 15. Depp penned two songs on Beck’s album.
The actor also did UK tours with Beck last June. Their album is named for the youthful age the pair say they feel whenever they play music.
Aside from his original song, Depp also did covers of Caroline, “No” by the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson, and Lou Reed’s “Venus and Furs” by the Velvet Underground.
Before becoming a full actor, Depp has a long history when it comes to music. Earlier this year, his band Hollywood Vampires announced their first concert after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The group consists of Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Tommy Henriksen, and Depp himself.
