Taylor Swift revealed recently that she is releasing a new full-length album this October.

She picked the perfect platform to break the news—during her acceptance speech for winning the Video of the Year plum for her 10-minute version of “All Too Well”—on the MTV Awards show last Sunday.

“I wouldn’t be able to re-record my albums if it weren’t for you. You emboldened me to do that. And I had made up my mind that if you were going to be this generous and give us this (award), I thought it might be a fun moment to tell you that my brand-new album comes out on October 21. And I will tell you more at midnight,” Swift said during her speech.

Swift’s new album will be the first release of new material since the singer-songwriter released the albums “Folklore” and “Evermore” back in 2020.

Swift followed up the new album announcement on social media, revealing what the new 13-track record will be about and the eventual title of her tenth album.

“This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching – hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve…we’ll meet ourselves,” wrote Swift adding, “Midnights, the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life, will be out October 21, Meet me at midnight.”
