Two of the biggest names in Pinoy rap and R&B, Gloc-9 and Thyro Alfaro, are collaborating on a song for the first time.
Titled “Kagat Ni Eba,” it plays on the adage “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.”
The Thyro Alfaro-sung lyric goes: “Pag gumanti si Eba, kahit ahas ay aamo / gusto mo ng pruweba, katinua’y malalaho / pag gumanti si Eba, lahat ng malinaw lalabo / simula na ng gera, pag gumanti si Eba,” and serves as the hook chorus in the track.
Gloc 9 enters in the third verse with pithy delivery.
“Pinitas ka na parang mansanas sa puno / binuhusan ng yaman, binalutan ng luho / kastilyong buhangin na sa alon gumuho / saw agas na sumpaan, may isang sumuko / Ikaw ay pinaniwala na aalagaan / lagi kang iingatan hindi ka papabayaan, dahil wala nang totoo sa hardin ng bulaan.”
There’s more of course, but then you have to listen to the whole song.
“Kagat Ni Eba” also happens to be the lead track used on the latest Vivamax movie “The Escort Wife.” Also included in the OST is a remake of the Lolita Carbon song “Usok.”
The Paul Alexei Basinillo-directed film stars Janelle Tee, Sab Aggabao and Raymond Bagatsing.
