Country singer Blake Shelton has decided to take a step back from his coaching duties on The Voice after a 12-year ride.
Blake, 46, confirmed the news on his Instagram account, saying that he will be appearing next season of the singing competition marking 23 consecutive seasons with the show before his exit.
“This show has changed my life in every way for the better, and it will always feel like home to me,” Blake wrote in an Instagram post.
Blake then reflected on the relationships he cultivated on the show — and gave a shoutout to the contestants.

The country singer has been on the show since 2011, where he was joined by Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, and CeeLo Green.
Throughout his time on the show, Team Shelton earned eight wins in total. He also met his now-wife Gwen Stefani on the show during her debut as a voice coach back in 2014.
Aside from his exit from the show, The Voice season 23 will feature Kelly Clarkson marking her return to the show after leaving season 1, while Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan will make their debut as coaches on the series. (Carissa Alcantara)
